The feature of touch ID in Apple is very smart technology for scanning and identifying the fingerprints and validate the original one. During the setup, you must ensure that there are sufficient captures of the ridges and surface of your finger. If it is not proper, the device might not detect your fingerprint on several occasions. For fixing, you can delete and re-add the fingerprints. The steps are as follows:
On MacBook, go to the option of System Preferences and select the Touch ID option.
Hover the cursor on the fingerprint you wish to delete, and then click on the X icon.
Now, enter your MacBook password in the prompt.
Then, click on Delete to confirm the deletion.
After that, click on Add a fingerprint option to add new.
Further, keep your finger on the sensor at different angles, till all the points are captured.
Finally, there is a message of Touch ID ready. It is saved once you tap Done.
